Stone N Sling Books

Storms Are Inevitable!

I didn’t set out to auther a book. I set out to survive storms, and then to help other families survive them too.

I’ve lived through four major hurricanes in South Florida since 2008: Irma, Ian, Helene, and Milton. Each one tore apart not only roofs and walls but also the illusion that insurance would always do the right thing. Along the way, I also lost a business location because of underinsurance. That experience changed me. It taught me that policies aren’t written for protection, they’re written for profit.

What I’ve seen in the insurance industry is nothing short of a David vs. Goliath story. Homeowners stand vulnerable, often reduced to a policy number, while corporate giants treat delays and lowball offers as routine. But like David, homeowners are not powerless.

This book is my way of putting a sling in your hands, knowledge of your rights, and giving you stones to throw: preparation, documentation, persistence, and strategy. These are not tricks or shortcuts. They are legitimate, ethical, and effective tools to help you face a system that often feels stacked against you.

I don’t offer legal advice. What I offer is something just as important: lived experience, practical insight, and the conviction that every homeowner deserves to be “Made Whole”.
